Apartment Finder

Since 2002, EX2 has been a partner of Network Communications, Inc. (NCI). NCI is a leading publisher of printed and online real estate information in North America. EX2 has implemented many of the NCI print brands online and has a unique success story to tell about the Apartment Finder brand.

From 2003 - 2006, ApartmentFinder.com was one of the many umbrella brands under the LivingChoices.com website. NCI made a strategic decision to separate the Apartment Finder brand from the umbrella platform. Our combined goal was to create an agile, creative, dynamic and- most importantly- cost effective solution, refining the emerging technologies used for apartment community marketing websites.

Since launch in January 2007, the ApartmentFinder.com website has enjoyed:

  • 20% increased traffic
  • Usability gains that lead to more browse-to-register conversions

A recent survey of consumers supports these measurable success metrics. In summary the study found:

“Apartment Finder is preferred generally by consumers for its usefulness, content and quality, sophisticated features and functionality on the website, as well as the quality of its print magazines and clear photos[...] ApartmentFinder.com was spontaneously mentioned by focus group participants and they consider it one of the best websites because of its relevant search tools, mapping functionality, high quality virtual tours, and extensive property listings”. The technologies used include Microsoft .Net, Microsoft SQL Server, AJAX/RIA technologies, WebTrends and Omniture analytics and Microsoft Virtual Earth.
